History and historical cartography is one of my hobbies among other things.

In this post, I decided to gather as many historical maps of Georgia as I can find, mainly made by European cartographers. Apart from being my hobby, it is my small contribution to counter the Russian propaganda war against Georgia, and show that the Russian-occupied territories of Georgia belonged to different Georgian, Proto-Georgian, and Kartvelian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kartvelian_languages) states since ancient times, long before Russia even existed.

I will update this post whenever I find new maps. I will also provide more detailed description of these maps over time.
